Overnight saw Amazon Fashion announce news it’s launching an innovative shopping experience called ‘The Drop’ – a concept that will see fashion influencers including Paola Alberdi, Sierra Furtado, Emi Suzuki, Leonie Hanne, and Patricia Bright launch a limited-edition line of clothes. And this isn’t going to be any old limited-edition last-until-they’ve-sold-out type of collection, with each range made-on-demand and only available for 30 hours. Now that’s real limited-edition.
Taking to Instagram to reveal the news, Paola told followers: “ANNOUNCEMENT! I am so excited to finally announce that my capsule collection will be in partnership with @amazonthedrop! I could not be more thrilled to release my first capsule collection with such a trusted retailer and a world class team who has worked so hard to bring my ideas to life and most importantly, make them available to all of you wherever you are! I can’t wait for all of you to have a piece of me in your own wardrobe. The collection will be out (very) soon. Stay tuned!!”
Available exclusively via the Amazon App or mobile browser, The Drop will be available globally in more than 100 countries and regions. To be in the know, customers can sign up via https://www.amazon.com.au/thedrop/desktop to get a text notification of each drop to ensure they don’t miss the 30 hour window.
To complement The Drop’s limited-edition collections, Amazon will also be offering Staples by The Drop – fashion that can be pared back with the influencer-designed collections. Styles within Staples by The Drop are available all the time via the Amazon App, mobile browser, or desktop.
