Cupcakes and Cashmere’s Emily Schuman drops her first shoe line
It’s not the first time Cupcakes and Cashmere fashion blogger Emily Schuman has teamed up with Nordstrom – but this time we’re seeing her tackle a whole new wardrobe staple in the form of a shoe collection. Dropping at Nordstrom yesterday, the range includes 10 different heels retailing from between $US110 and $US150.
Writing on her blog, Emily tells readers: “Today, after two-and-a-half years of careful planning and designing, that dream is finally a reality, with our first-ever shoe collection launching at Nordstrom! It meant a lot to me to have pairs grounded in classic, well-made pieces, from the Gisela, my dream block heel that comes in snakeskin, black, and white leather, to the Harmon platform, an update on one of my favorite shoe trends.
“I’m thrilled with how they look, but my priority was always that they, first and foremost, be high-quality (at an approachable price point) and comfortable. I tested out each pair, often times spending an entire day propped up in our highest heels, making sure the padded footbeds provided enough support.”
Her team also posted to the @shopcupcakesandcashmere Instagram account about the collection, writing: “OUR ? SHOES ? HAVE ? DROPPED! @emilyschuman’s first shoe collection just launched at @nordstrom (and we couldn’t be more excited!). Emily designed these shoes with one thought in mind: How can I create a collection that functions just as well for school drop-offs as it does for morning meetings and happy hours with girlfriends? Within the collection you’ll find: a couture-inspired kitten heel with a grosgrain bow, a periwinkle two-tone slingback, and Emily’s trademark nude stiletto, with a pop of color.”
Emily says the pieces are exactly what she wanted for her own closet with each shoe well-made in a timeless design. She also hinted at further options becoming available – with a candy-colored strappy style set to launch soon. Watch this space…
