If you were a brand, would you pay $US1 million for an influencer post on Instagram? No? Well, turns out some would – with figures released this week in Hopper HQ’s annual Instagram Rich List showing Kylie Jenner now charges that amount for one Instragram post to her 110 million followers. You better hope she tags and hashtags that post correctly.
Worth the money? Call me crazy, but I’m inclined to think it might just be – having seen how Kylie’s been able to catapult a brand from oblivion into a multi-million dollar business. There’s a reason she’s requesting the big bucks.
“Social media marketing has grown so much within the last year, and a tool that continues to yield results for brands is celebrity and influencer social endorsements. It’s truly amazing what influence these professionals have over their audience, and in terms of sales and exposure many of their clients claim that they’re worth every penny,” comments Hopper HQ co-founder Mike Bandar.
“I’m not surprised that Kylie Jenner has topped this year’s list, as far as social media marketing goes, she has it down to a tee. Kylie was introduced to the public through her family’s reality show, but she has forged her own billion-dollar career and harnessed the power of Instagram to build a global, loyal, engaged following that brands are willing to pay top dollar for!”
But Kylie’s not the only one making a lucrative business from the social media app, according to stats from Hopper HQ. Based on internal Hopper HQ data, influencer rate cards, and public information, Hopper has released the details of the top influencer earnings across a number of categories.
