Emma Blake-Hahnel on her everyday beauty routine
She may not have the triple figure Instagram account, but we’re putting Emma Blake-Hahnel firmly on our “one to watch” list. Meeting her while in Sydney for the recent MBFWA, Emma had that ‘IT’ quality about her that radiated star potential. And that wasn’t the only thing radiating… this girl got glow.
Intrigued by her natural-yet-flawless face, we were fascinated to see if this was the work of cosmetics – or just some incredible genetics. Below, we take a look as Emma gives us a sneak peek inside her everyday makeup and skincare regime…
Prep + base
It’s actually pretty basic – I love super dewy glowy skin. I love prepping my skin with moisturiser and then a super glowing hydrating primer from Mecca. I then put on the Nars Sheer Glow foundation – it’s very sheer and you can build it up.
Concealer + bronzer
For concealer, I have a Mecca cream highlighter, which I love to use because it’s more natural and you can just dab it on with your fingers. I then use Hourglass Bronzer – and then that’s pretty much me done!
For lips, I love Velvet Teddy by MAC if I’m going to wear a lipstick. Otherwise, I have a really beautiful pot rose lip balm from Mecca that I wear everyday. It’s so good. If I’m not wearing that, I’ll wear Benefit’s Lip and Cheek Tint, which I’m obsessed with – it smells amazing!
Mascara is Mecca Max – which is great because it has the bottom mascara as well as the top one. I love this because I like to do the bottom lashes as well because it opens up your eyes. I don’t tend to wear eyeliner – I like to look a bit more natural unless it’s a nighttime glam occasion (where I might go wild with my makeup!) But for every day, I just like bottom and top mascara – it just opens up your eyes; My eyes can look quite small if I wear eyeliner.
Brows is one of the most important things for me as they shape the face – I like using Benefit Gimme Brow Gel. It’s also definitely important to brush your brows up. If I don’t wear any makeup – I would just put on moisturiser and do my brows.
