Set to launch at 9am EST this morning, Australian YouTube sensation Cartia Mallan was forced to push forward the official drop date of her limited-edition clothing collection – designed in collaboration with Princess Polly – after the VIP Presale began fast selling out last night.
Explaining her decision to get it out there a day early, the 19-year-old posted to Instagram: “The VIP PRE SALE was selling out & I didn’t want anyone who hadn’t signed up to miss out on the collection – so we have decided to make the clothing available NOW so you all have a chance to get pieces before it sells out!!!”
Working on the 18-piece collection for the past six months, the line sees Cartia create a range that draws on her own distinct style – think party and festival go-tos such as glitter flares, rainbow crops and a star skirt. With a mind’s eye to design pieces she couldn’t find anywhere else, the unique-yet-wearable styles are for girls “who aren’t afraid to stand out from the crowd”.
But while the collection might be “a line for the wild, reckless, disco baby that lives inside all of us”, there are also pieces for the less daring fashionistas such as tailored culottes, basic crops, and vibrant staples. The range caters for sizes 6 to 16 and includes fashion, swimwear and accessory items.
Discussing the Cartia Mallan X Princess Polly fashion line with Husskie, the 19-year-old explains: “I created this line as a form of self expression to showcase the little rainbow/disco child that lives within me. I want everyone to feel radiant, groovy and alive while wearing the pieces… whether that’s to a festival, work or just out on a coffee date.”
In a press statement, she adds: “I’m so grateful for having the opportunity to share a part of myself with my little online family – and working with Princess Polly on this range for the last six months has been an amazing experience. I’m obsessed with every single piece and I think my online fam will be too.”
The range is available exclusively via www.princesspolly.com.
