Pia Miller seems to be one of those women that just manages to look hot whatever they do. You know, the ones that can roll out of bed, tie their hair back in a pony, and be done for the day. In fact, that’s pretty much what Pia does do when she’s not on the Home and Away set or doing modelling gigs for brands such as GHD or Caltrate (in which she’s an ambassador for).
But while we can’t get enough of her glam looks [did you see pics of this gal at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards earlier this year? Wow!], we were interested to find out what Pia’s beauty routine is like when all the cameras are turned off…
When you’re not working, will we find you wearing much makeup?
I wear so much make-up while shooting I like to let my skin breathe, so if anything, I only use sunscreen to protect my skin.
Can you talk me through your off-duty makeup look?
It’s always a simple routine. I like to curl my eyelashes with my Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and apply a 50+ sunscreen before I head out the door. I also like to dust over a light Benefit Bronzer (in Hula) to give that natural summer glow. For my cheeks, RMS lip-to-cheek is perfect for some colour, super easy!
What exact products can we find in your beauty cupboard?
1. Lucas Paw Paw – It’s a great all-rounder
2. ghd platinum styler – Perfect for curling or a sleek straight look
3. DIOR Iconic Mascara – For undisputed volume and thickness
4. Eyelash curler – I can’t go anywhere without this
5. M.A.C Eyeliner in Coffee – To add definition
Do you have a strong focus on skincare?
My routine has evolved over time – when I was younger I probably wasn’t as aware of what I was putting on my skin as much as I am now. I love to keep close to natural and organic as possible for my everyday skin products. So, I would say yes, my skincare and taking care of my skin is important to me.
What’s your regular routine?
In the morning, I cleanse, tone and moisturise using witch hazel products which leave my skin feeling fresh and clean. I always make sure to SPF 50+ sunscreen before leaving the house – even when it’s cloudy. If my skin looking a little dull, I might add an organic balm like Passionate Skin Care Skin Food collection which is really hydrating. The moment we wrap on set, I use Neutrogena Deep Clean cleanser to remove my makeup from a full day of shooting. I have a very similar night time routine. I like to keep it simple and consistent.
How long does it take you to do your makeup for an evening out or event?
It depends on where I’m going and what I’m doing, if it’s an event – it can take about an hour.
